Frequently asked questions

What is The Vintage Assisted Living and how is it different from a nursing home?

The Vintage is an assisted living care home, not a nursing home or a general old age home. It is built around quality of life alongside expert medical support - structured routines, engagement, and dignity, not just custodial care.

What conditions does The Vintage specialise in?

Dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke recovery, post-surgery rehabilitation, and general age-related daily care needs.

Is there medical staff available 24 hours a day?

An in-house nurse is resident on-site 24/7 for continuous care, medication management, and emergency response. A doctor is available on call for consultations.

What activities are available for residents?

Morning yoga and meditation, group exercises (Zumba, dance classes), mind games (Tambola, puzzles, memory games), art and craft sessions, music and singing programs, and spiritual sessions.

What kind of food is served? Can it be customised?

All meals are prepared fresh daily in our in-house kitchen and customised for each resident's dietary requirements - diabetic, low-sodium, cardiac, and soft-food diets for swallowing difficulties.

Do you accept seniors with advanced dementia or who are bedridden?

Yes. We care for seniors at various stages of dementia, including moderate to advanced stages, and provide specialised bedridden patient care.

What is the admission process?

A conversation, a personal visit, a medical assessment, and a customised care plan - admission typically follows within 2-3 days of agreement.

I am an NRI with parents in India. Can The Vintage manage their care independently?

Yes - we work extensively with NRI families, providing regular health updates, video calls, hospital accompaniment when needed, and a dedicated relationship manager who keeps you informed.
